"On Y Va, Richard" (here we go, rick), pointing to Rick.
The atmosphere was *very* relaxed, everybody stayed down, and
lots of bottles of mineral-water (famous French custom) were
thrown to those that kept on foot... ;)

Misc: The crowd yelled 'oe-hoe-a-hoe-hoe" (something like that) in a
nice way. Just before CN, Dave started playing this on the
guitar, the rest joined and they played this for about a minute.
Then they set of for CN.
After the first tones of RLH, Dave switched to Telecaster and
different effects. The crowd went wild and Dave looked like he
wanted to tease them a bit more, but had already switched
equipment. After some more waiting he ripped off into RLH.

(started at 9:00)
Venue: Outdoor stadium
Weather: Dru, warm and sunny. A bit too light at the start for the screen
Misc: Only light beer will be sold inside the stadium ;)
(thanks, Charles)
Start was a bit messy (sound), but from Sorrow on (esp. bass)
they really got into it... possibly because the atmosphere in
Chantilly (Paris) was much more relaxed ...
GGITS had the Crystal Voyager video, possibly they do this since
the change in the US, because the first one was a bit explicit ??
During RLH, Dave walks to Pratt, talks a bit, walks to Wright,
while playing, put his arm around Rick's shoulder, smiles and talks
and gets a kiss on the cheek from Rick ... (maybe he remembered
Rick's birthay ???)
Show was less strict/prerecorded than '89 shows.
Guy sang "send you back to Cologne" in RLH.
Annonces: 15 minutes before the show started the German speaker asked the
people on the inner rows to stand, so more people who waited for
a place could get to their place... (in German)
After LTF Dave said in German something like "Ich weiB night was
ich sage, aber dieses HeiBt What Do You Want From Me" ;)
Also said "danke schon" and "vielen dank". No "indeed" !!!
Said "see you again" at the end.

At 15.30 there was a short soundcheck, ACYL, BD, Ecl without
the females singers. The first set there were no projections because
it was still to light. The second set started with about 5 minutes
heart-beat sound, and accompanying visual. STM had a very long intro.
OTR had the '88/'89 video, Time had the new clip, rest was old

Venue: Outdoor stadium
Weather: Cloudy, but not during the show.
Misc: Dave sang "I do my best to please" on WDYWFM. Great solos on PA and
and OTTA and of course on CN. I can't tell if Guy sang "Basel"
instead of "mother" on RLH (Charles: he didn't). Sound was very
impressive. Really a great show !
Annonces: before WDYWFM : "Thank you very much for coming" Gilmour then said
that the LTF solo was by Tim, and that it was Tim's birthday. Then
he introduced WDYWFM.
after OOTD : "Thank you very much indeed" then something like
"we'll be back in 15 minutes"
before CN : says something like "we gonna do one more. Then
"This one is Comfortably Numb"
after RLH : "Thank you very much. Good night".

Venue: open field ! (see Misc)
Weather: Much wind
Misc: The amphitheatre turned out to be a plain open field. The audience
was well clothed, and the 20-25 year olds were in the majority.
The 'grass-smell' was very much evident... what is forbiden, is
nice to do ???
AD had incredible psychedelic lighteffects.
The effect in CN of the discoball completely fell through, because
of the open field. The pauses in RLH were long, and when finally
a plane flew over, the pause was too long, and finally the song began.
What the busses did well on their was from the parking lot to the
field, they did wrong on the way back :(

rather average gig. (according to Chris van der Meer).

Weather: Cold (170) & wet (95% of the show it was raining)
Misc: Raining ... this was possibly the best weather for the light show
The entry opened at 17:00, from 15:00 sometimes I've heard soundchecks.
The show started at 20:15 with earth noise from CLUSTER ONE.
10 minutes later Floyd entered the stage and started playing.
During OTTA the it was raining again (and not stopped until the end
of the show). But most of the crowd didn't feel the rain - we
were extremely happy. And: the greatest on the rain was the fact, that
the laser's light was broken by millions of raindrops. The air was
fullfilled with glitter and sparkle - oh what a night! (Since now
I loved the rain in the concert.) In OOTD one of the pigs had a problem.
After OOTD, Dave said: "10 Minuten Pause. Wir kommen gleich wieder."
In TIME Dave sang " .. watch the rain" and additional words
".. when I come home colded and tired _AND_ _WET_ ..". Yeah !
Annonces: Dave has spoken most of his intros/comments in German !

this song title into German ("Was wollen Sie von mir?")

Length: S1: 0:55. P: 0:10. S2: 1:10. P: 0:01. Enc: 0:15. Total: 2:30
(Started at 20.30)
Venue: Open field (where in '33 they had parades and such)
Weather: Very good, no clouds (and a full moon in the evening)
Misc: Loudness: 93 dB ;)
U&T was left out due to time limitations
There was a perfectly 4-channel sound. 15 minutes before the
beginning of the concert they did a play back "sound collage
performance": floating water, birds, cosmic noises ... The
audience was very surprised.
In the first set they didn't show any film or video.
During the intro of SOYCD the video screen rised like the full moon
and when he was in the exactly position they projected a video film
about "Syd" (played by an actor) and the psychedelic 60's.
Other videos they showed during "Time", "High Hopes" and "Money".
Some new pictures from the "High Hopes" video I've found in the
official tour programm book, which is very good. (The tour programm
contains a short information about all the tour videos. There is
also a video for "Us And Them", but they didn't play this song in
Berlin). "Comfortably Numb" was the culmination point of the show,
when the crystal bowl rised and changed the Maifeld into the "milky
way" with thousands of light points.
The concert ended with fireworks and a giant light show during
"Run Like Hell".
Annonces: After LTF Dave said something to the audience in German (!)
(Thank you for coming ... and then "Was wollen Sie von mir?" -
that means: What do you want from me?).
After OOTD Dave announced a break of 15 minutes

Misc: "No. 19" on Mr. Screen
Likewise as in Berlin, during OOTD Gilmour was playing along
and drinking something until he liked it and the band didn't
know when he'd finally sit down and play the speedy outtro.
OTTA and PA were the best until now in Europe.
Annonces: Before WDYWFM: "Nun ein bisschen Musik. Das ist 'Was willst du

Before CN: "Ich danke ihnen. Dies ist 'Comfortably Numb'"
After RLH: "Danke. Vielen Dank. Auf Wiedersehen" (!)

Audience: 51,305 (soldout)
Gross: ? (51,305 x SEK 290 = SEK 14,878,450 = $1,900,000)
Set 1: AD, LTF, WDYWFM, OTTA, TIB, Sor, KT, OOTD
Set 2: SOYCD, Bre, Tim, BRep, HH, GGITS, WYWH, U&T, Mon, ABITW2, CN
Encore: HY, RLH
Length: S1: 0:55. P: 0:20. S2: 1:15. P: 0:03. Enc: 0:10. Total: 2:45
(Sound FX started 20:30, 1st set started at 20:45)
Venue: Outdoor stadium
Weather: Raining like hell up till the concert started. After that
'small rain' for 15 minutes and then it stoped (around OTTA). In the
2nd set the clouds went away too and the moon rose above the horizon,
showing half of the dark side (!). Gilmours comment about the weather
before the concert was : "Typical english weather."
Misc: Before the show started, they put up three large see-through
umbrellas for Dave, Tim and Guy. During LTF, Dave's umbrella
either fell down because of the wind, or Dave threw it down.
After the song ended, he said: "Just wasn't pretty enough
was it?" The rest of the umbrellas were removed for the 2nd set.
The lasers was pretty cool during LTF as it was still slightly
raining. There seemed to be some problems during TiB, Dave first
missed some lines, then it seemed like they faded it out a bit early
while putting the 'laser roof' on for 2 minutes (haven't seen this
done on any earlier shows). The intro on Sorrow was VERY
extended and slow, one of my highlight that evening. Solos and
the mid-section of AD and Sorrow were also quite extended. The
talk box solo on KT didn't work very well this evening (IMO).
In the 2nd set Gary Wallis brooke his stick on the bell during
High Hopes, but he didn't miss a beat as he had another one in
his left hand :) I was a bit supprised to see that it is Nick who
does the 'larger' part of the drumming during the show. The Time
film went on for another 10 or 15 seconds after the 'hand' comes up
and grabs for the bird (or is it a fly?). After the first initial
notes on RLH, Dave runed into another (which???) tune for some
20 - 30 seconds before he changed the guitar. The audience loved it
and started laughing. Guy sang "send you back to Sweden" in RLH.
During the final 'Thank You's the number "17" was showed on
Mr. Screen.
According to Aaro the song-snippet in RLH was Dylan's Rainy Day Women.
Sound was close to perfect. Because of the clouds, it was dark
enough right from the start for the light and films. The audience
behaved mostly quite nice, except for a few drunk people. Beer was
sold inside the venue.
The solo at CN was 5 min 5 sec long.
This was the first concert at Ullevi since Bruce Springsteen at 1985.
After that, concerts was banned due to instability in the stadium
building. After 2 unsuccessfully attempts to rebuild the arena, a
third successfull attemp for $15.000.000 was made before the PF
concert. Ullevi is the host of 1995 Athletics World Championship.
Annonces: Before the break, Dave said in Swedish: "Tusen takk" (or is it
spelled 'tack'???).
Recorded: We brought a DAT recorder and a mic. (all worth 2000 Pound) inside
with no problems, but the guy who should have had the batteries,
had left them in the car. And there was no way to go out and getting
inside again :(
Video: 90 minutes (2nd half).

Set 2: SOYCD, Bre, Tim, BRep, HH, GGITS, WYWH, U&T, Mon, ABITW2, CN
Encore: Mar, RLH
Length: S1: 1:00. P: 0:10. S2: 1:17. P: 0:03. Enc: 0:15. Total: 2:45
(Sound check without band: Starded before 14:00, lasted till 16:00)
(Sound check with band: Approx. 16:00 - 17:05. Sound FX started 20:10)
Venue: Outdoor stadium (rather small with low wooden 'walls')
Weather: Rained a bit during first two tunes, and a few drops on the start
of the second set.
Misc: During the soundcheck (which could be seen and heard very good
outside the stadium because of the low walls) they played
several rather long versions of Marooned, and some other tunes.
Dave seemed to be doing a lot of strange FX on his guitar
during these rehearsals on Marooned.
AD and LTF was quite short, with no drum 'solo' in AD.
CBTL had a long and nice intro on the guitar. A very nice version.
Gilmour had some loud feedback at a point in HH, quite rare to
witnes in a Floy concert. There were a loud cheering from the
audience when the Norwegian flags were showed in the HH
film (yes, the red white and blue flags are Norwegians :)
The audience responded quite nicely on the new songs,
especially on HH. ABitW2 had a VERY powerful ending, and as
usual new scribelings and drawings on the screen at the start.
The solo in ComfNumb was a bit shorter than in Gothenburg, but
still great. After CofNumb they lowered the screen again, and
I was affraid they would skip Hey You and go right to RLH
because of the time restrictions here (have to end at 23:00).
But they started playing Marooned instead, which was GREAT!!!!
The film used showed dolphines and whales in slow motion (it
might not have been just pure luck that they premiered this one
in Norway :) Guy sang "send you back to Oslo" in RLH. After the
final goodbyes, the number "16" was showed on the screen (counting
down to Earl's Court?).
The sound was perfect, but it was a little too bright at the
start for the lights and lasers, The audience was good singing
along on the right places. But there was way too many people
inside. The preasure was unbelivable. I didn't move an inch from
the start of the concert to the end.
Personal highlights of the evening; chatting with Garry Wallis
for 10 minutes, and I could be clearly seen on the photo in todays
paper (fron the back....) :) -TOR

Misc: Well, didn't help much that Gary Wallis said they'd play DSotM.
My friend Erik talked to Nick Mason earlier that day, and he said
it wasn't decided yet whether they would do Dark Side or not,
and they didn't :(
For those not likeing what Wallis said about no '95 dates, here is
something that says against him: On the PF Special on MCM (a French
TV channel) they had a short interview with the Road Manager, this
is what they said:
Q: When do you go to bed at nights?
A: We don't....... not till... ahhh.. 1996!
The guys play nice. It sounded like they blew a speaker at the
start of Sorrow. Good versions of most songs. Especially ComfNumb
which was very long. Marooned as the day before. During the intro
of RLH, Dave Gilmour started playing 'Norwegian Woods' (Beatles)
on the guitar. Guy sang "send you back to Oslo.." in RLH. According
to a friend of mine who were at the front, Gary Wallis was trying
to put out some fire on stage during the final goodbyes. Something
around his drum set must have caught fire from the final 'blow' of
the screen. The number "15" was showed on the screen at the end.
Sound was very good, even at the very end of the stadium.
At least 5000 people was standing outside listening. -TOR

Very relaxed (and good) version of PA. It started with a *very*
weird intro, where Tim and Dave just played their parts, comple-
tely out-of-sinc, and gradually working towards each other, until
they synchronized. Weird, but very nice to hear. The whole song
was much better than I heard before.
The second solo in CN was 5:33 long (from opening of the ball
until the end of the song)
RLH: send you back to Rot-ter-dam (didn't quite fit)
A little story: because of lack-of-time, no reporters or even
photgraphers were allowed in De Kuip during the building-process.
Thus EMI organised a bus-trip to Belgium, but there they only saw
the stage and talked to some guys (and saw a Spain-promo video from
the PF-gig there). The TV and newspapers decided to write as bad a
review for their medium as they could and thus we ended up seeing
great gigs and reading all kind of nasty mud-throwing things about
it in the end :( But we had a *great* time...
BTW One of the nicest headlines I read: "With Pink Floyd on a

During OOTD, when the pigs fell down (or were lowered, as some
suggested), the pigs *did* fall. A security guy couldn't get away
in time and it fell on him. They needed a *lot* of security guys,
because it fell partly on the audience, who eagerly tried to get
a piece of it (or move the complete pig into and over the heads
of the audience...). Reminded me of the famous 'pyramid' story,
which was ripped into pieces by the audience.
The explosion at the end of OTR was *very* heavy and the
smoke formed a giant mushroom (shit, I hope I didn't watch
a nuclear explosion ...) and it still sounded in my ears
when the Time-clocks were ticking away ...
OTR of course featured the 'bed-scene' and the mini-airoplane
that crashed in an empty section next to the stage, after
flying over the audience.
ACYL had some small jammming in it... (finally)
The WYWH/HH swap was *very* good.
Gary lost a stick after a few beats on "The Bell", thus missing
one beat but continuing with the other hand for the rest and
frantically trying to grab another stick in between beats on
The Bell...

Long solos in BD (?) from Rick and Dave
Dave crearly broke a string during WHWY, but improvised and
continued the song nonetheless.
Another report: "On Monday, when Dave strummed his guitar really
hard during WYWH to get the audience to stop shouting and
whistling he broke one (of his 12) strings, and just played on..."
("From now on... zhere will be no whistling in zhe hall !")
During RLH, 'Rot-ter-dam' was sung again (according to Martin it
was 'Hol-land') ...
Small conversation Andre terhort (andre@iag.tno.nl) witnessed:
"Man 1: I've heard they played DSOTM last night. Wonder if they'd
do it again.
Man 2: They've played what ?
Man 1: You know, DSOTM
Man 2: Is that from their last album?
Man 1: No, no, It's more then 20 years old.
Man 2: Don't know that song, but I've heard some Syd Carrot [sic]
songs before and didn't like it.
Man 1: No, the only song I liked from Syd Carrots [sic] is 'money'.
After regaining my breath, swallowing a few new words even I had

The french crowd was really friendly, well behaved and in a happy
mood ! I had a great time at the concert.
More info from Charles:
Half an hour before the show started, the crowd started a wave (for
those of you not knowing this phenomenon, people at the same angle
in the stadium rise and sit again, and then the ones next to them do
the same, resulting in a 'waving mass of people' ;) for about 15
minutes ! (trip-time all-around: 33 seconds ;)
Strassbourg was good, but not top 5 (to put it arrogantly). No. 1
still is Rotterdam 5th with the best DSotM so far !
RLH was long and had some other song in the intro. "Send you back to
Strassbourg".

"hoe-hoe-a-hoe-hoe" many times, and between ABITW2 and CN,
the band played this like in Paris.
Rather short SOYCD (10 min.), long Sor (10 min. +)
After the final goodbyes, the number 8 was shown on the
screen. Audience "crazy-like-dogs". Pratt did sing something else
than 'mother' in RLH. Dave played part of the French national
anthem in the RLH-intro. Before/In (?) CN they had 'the jam' (which
by now has been praticed and is played sometimes).
Mason was weak on some spots (for instance he was too late on the
second part of PA).
Newspaper the day after the show reported that they *might*
play DSotM again on the 23rd (when they return from Italy for
a second show here !) (I've heard this from two reliable sources
now!!!)
Excellent show. Dave looked healthier than the three previous
shows I've seen him this tour.
The crowd esp. liked the 'lyrically' oriented songs. Some points
of interest: the first set was played with surprising gusto and
I enjoyed it more than the new material on the DSOT tour. Gilmour
wailed all night, and neither I nor my friend who is an excellent
guitarist noticed any mistakes. A real impressive performance on
guitar. Sound was bad during RLH (the second keyboardists' text)
Sound FX included the usual dog barking, water dripping, helicop-
ters *and* the opening piano note from Echoes. -Dave Casper (CH)
After entering the stadium, we were given forms (don't know if it's
the suitable word here) for a contest which unique prize is a guitar
signed by Dave. As I read nothing about that, I wonder if they did
something similar elsewhere. (and it's nice, I got such a form from
Charles ...)
Here is an approximate translation of what I found in the papers...
"The 2nd Pink Floyd concert in Lyon, on september 23, for which
27000 tickets have been sold (there are 13000 left, without the
guests) should be markedly different from the first one. With a
special place[?] made for the songs of "Dark Side of the Moon" and
revised special effects and scenography[?] (among others, a reprise
of the crashing plane). It should also be recorded and some people
will come from far away to "see" it. The English would already have
filled four buses."
I'd be really happy if DSOTM is recorded (or at least part of it)
in Lyon. This may be a rumour to add in your file...
[Jean-Francois GONZALEZ]

Misc: Excellent show IMO. I found it better than the first one in Lyon
(even if GGITS was shorter and if Sam Brown, the white female singer,
still had problems reaching the high notes). Dave was very good, and
I liked a lot the version of "Money" they played that night.
The "light show" was particularly impressive because of the humidity.
RLH: Send you back to Lyon.
The number "1" was shown on the screen (and not "2" as predicted).
Was it a goof, or did they realise that it was better, since there
would be only one show (Lausanne) before London?...
The crowd was much calmer than for the first show in Lyon, esp. at
the beginning, maybe because we were all wet. At about 20:00, the
crowd started a wave around the stadium, but it was better last time.
On the other hand, when the show ended, virtually everybody in the
stadium lit his lighter: awesome... (while it is fairly common during
some songs, I never saw that at the end of a show!)
As last time, we were given forms to win a guitar.
Annonces: Dave spoke entirely in French. At the end he said something like
"See you next time"...
Recorded: The day before the show, there was a special showing of "The Wall"
during which they gave the guitar to the winner. The guy who
presented the film (and thanked the sponsors) announced that the
show would be recorded and filmed.
According to a friend of mine who was working for the security (or
safety?), they installed microphones and made some tests during
the afternoon. Two microphones were indeed visible in front of the
central desk or console (I don't know the right English word),
supposedly to record audience noises. [Jean-Francois Gonzalez]

announcerts voice over the quad sound saying something to do with
5 minutes. I was getting frantic...
Venue: Indoor
Weather: -
Misc: On top of the Earls Court entrance the two metal heads were mounted.
All looked well when we arrived. The stage was amazing, the quad
tape played, everybody went "oooh" when the light aircraft seemed
to take off down the arena.
The lights went off. The opening drone to "Shine On" began.
Mr. Screen began to rise as projections swirled over the stage. I
sat back and prepared to enjoy the show, cursing under my breath
the whooper two seats down.
Out of the corner of my eye I saw movement at the back of the
arena. I assumed it was just the lighting, or a bunch of late
arrivals. Suddenly the house lights snapped back on. Rick Wright
looked puzzled and a little angry, as slowly the intro petered to a
halt.
Looking down the arena it was clear what the movement had been; one
of the scaffolding stands at the back of the hall, beside the
projection platform, had collapsed completely. Confusion. A voice
announced: "We have a slight problem at the back, but we'll sort it
out and start as soon as possible."
Not a hope. A second announcement explained that the stand had
collapsed, with no major injuries. Another 5 minutes. Then Harvey
Goldsmith appeared on stage to explain that they had decided to
postphone the show in order to check the rest of the stands, and
began to evacuate the arena. Later a replacement date, Monday the
17th was announced.
On the radio: 30-40 people injured. Collapsed stands were block
8 and 9. Those blocks held over 1100 ! Only 8 people had to stay
in the hospital overnight.
According to Charles, those in that area, showing up on 941017,
got a bag with tour book, some more stuff and a T-shirt with
Pink Floyd Earls Court Blocks 8 and 9" on it... see 941017

The band seemd a bit strained because of last nights accident
but they did an OK concert. The sound was not very good at
this show. Gilmours guitar was way too sharp at the start, and
vocals were muddy all the way through.
Very nice to hear the new version of Shine On. When they
started the song up again after the first sax solo, it sounded
quite funky for a little while. During OOTD the left pig lost
the lights in his eyes early on. The intro to RLH included a
long 'Happy Birthday To You', then Guy Pratt went over to Dave
and told him something and Dave started playing something else
I could not recognize. Guy sang 'London' in RLH -TOR

And for the first time, I could finally watch a DSOTM show live :)
Great show! The DSOTM set had a much better flow (from song to
song) than it had in Basel. But the sound was just awful (way to
much bass), but this could be because I was seated inside one of
those Pound 35 boxes (VIP?).
On the start of ABITW2, there was written 'Happy Birthday Jane'
on the screen (is this Jane Sen their press officer?).
The burning plane came in from the upper left on the back and
crashed at stage right. The film for BD was a new edit of the
film. -TOR
As with the original Dark Side shows at Earls Court, the audience
left to the sight of search lights scanning the London sky.
After the stand collapse 2 nights previous, people seemed very
unwilling to stand.
During OOTD Rick went off stage and had to be fetched by Dave...
Anyone noticed Rick went missing for an awful long time during
OOTD ? I know the bassist plays for ages before the piece really
kicks in, but he was playing for 2-3 minutes (?) on his own. Tim
Renwick also played the little Dr. Who riff. And it seemed DG
had to go off and fetch him!
Annonces: Before HH: "Welcome! Let's play some music then!"
Last thing Dave said was "And thanks to our friend Roger"

Very good show! The sound was far better than on previous
nights. Audience was very into it, clapping, stamping their
feets and singing loudly. Why don't Dave let the audience
sing a line or two of WYWH anymore???
During TIB a whole verse was lost, did Dave forget the words
or was it just a technical error? U&T had quite a different
ending than I'm used to, as it ended with a little guitar solo.
Guy sang 'London' in RLH. In HY they used some cool search
lights on the audience. Seemd like some more lights where added
on this night than on the previous nights. -TOR
After the gig I got a flyer saying "Floyd will return live in
95 to US and Europe. Mail your address for more information."
It was headed "Division Bell Chimes Again" ...
Annonces: After ComfNumb: "You're a great audience!!!"
Radio: Today, on UK radio, all the band members talked about what they
are aimed to do on the next FEW floyd albums..... :)
Also, Nick Mason said that if it WAS the last tour, they would
say so and make a big fuss over it!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
Good news eh? [Mark Stacey]

Before the show started I went over to check out the soundboard,
lots of buttons :) Most if not all computers are Mac's. They also
had two mics mounted on the front of the soundboard about 2,5 meter
above the floor, and one mic in the middle of the board. A guy
inside confirmed that they were recording the show.
Wow! This was the best show I've seen or heard since the played
in Oakland in '77. The band was VERY into it (or they had smoked
something :) Especially great was the first half, where we had Guy
Pratt imitating Mark King (from Level 42), and Tim Renwick bending
in every impossible direction playing some great solos and even
including a few extra licks here and there where he is not usually
allowed to. Even Rick had a few great solos, nothing like those
'safe runs' he did on the 20th but really spaced out solos.
And at last, the sound was PERFECT!!!
Ricks solo in KT was very long and very good. At the start of
ABITW2 Dave started playing a bit too early (when the helicopter
does its rounds) and the lasers folowed him, but then they both
stoped (with the laser still on) to let the helicopter take another
round. On the screen at the start of ABITW2 it was written in big
letters: "TH
100 SHOW"
Yes, with the 'E' missing. So, now we know why they were in such
a good mood :)
In TGGITS after Durga had done her part, this lovely black woman
(with some VERY long legs :) who where sitting right in front of
me stood up and applauded (the only one who stood up). So I
looked a bit closer and I do think it was Durga's sister Lorelei
(who sang with Floyd in '89). She did have a backstage pass.
In ComfNumb, when the lights on front stage is used during the
"Aaaarrrgghhhhh!!!" in the middle, there was something writen with
the lights, not just the uniform light they usualy have. I was
too suprised to managed to read what it said. Anyone???
When the light on stage was turned on again after the mirror ball,
Tim, Dave and Guy where doing a very nice 'Shadows swing' for the
rest of the tune.
It might just be my imagination, but I thought I heard Guy saying
'Lorelei' in RLH instead of 'London'. I'm probably wrong though.
Right after the show ended, one could hear music comming from
back stage. It sounded to me a bit like a slow version of
ABITW Part 1. -TOR
Annonces: After OOTD: "Thank you! You're so nice!"
After DSOTM: "Thank you very much! And thanks to Roger,
who wrote the words I'm singing tonight"
UK TV: Sort of: on the UK tv this morning it was announced that the band
will donate all profits from *all* of the Earls Court concerts to
charity.

Misc: This was the 100th gig of the 1994 tour.
An oversize white PF TDB tour T-shirt, with "Earls Court 12th
October Blocks 8/9" printed on the sleeve, and a tour book were
handed out to those in these blocks on the 12th.
Money started off very stangely. Instead of the old film with the
DSOTM record spinning and the usual intro, we got an extended cash
till opening and a film showing a bloke (1940s working class)
looking over his meager possesions. At one point he saws off the end
of his boots (sound effects all around) and then this one eyed alian
lands in a spce ship (more sound effects) and starts turning
everything into money with a hand hun (much to this chaps pleasure).
All this is happening before the bass intro starts, were talking
about only a minute here.
Annonces: After LTF, Dave said he didn't need to ask how we were, because he
knew that some of us werren't well. "If I were you I'd sue
somebody - preferably not me."

Misc: During the bass mid-section both Dave and Rick left the stage at the
same time for about a minute (they left via separate exits in the
stage). I have no idea why they did this (drink ? spend a penny ?),
but they came back just in time for the last up-beat part. Seems
odd though considering it's only 3 minutes before they have a 10
minute intermission... [Kevin]
In OTR, RW and Jon Carin fiddle around with keyboars and check
video for timings (hospital bed one). Anyway, they get the timings
wrong. The man screams about 5 seconds before the actual scream is
played. Aeroplane makes entrance and spectacular exit.
For Money onwards, Jon Carin takes over the Hammond (or whatever)
that RW wa playing and RW switched to electric piano (or whatever).
Annonces: Dave welcomes us to the second week, after LTF, and introduces
HH. After DSotM, he says "Takes you back, doesn't it ?" and
"Goodnight". After RLH Dave says "see you again".

Misc: The band seemed a bit nervous, and played it a bit safe.
The TV broadcast is one of the very best I've ever seen
from a live concert. I never even dreamed that they would
try to give a view of the show, which really showed how it
is in real life :) They even included most of the film in
a good way together with close ups, and that without using
those horrible layers of pictures as they did in '89.
Recorded for a Pay-Per-View broadcast in the USA on November 1st.
And (with one hour delay) broadcasted live on (at least) the
subscription-channels Filmnet Plaus and Premiere... Rebreoadcasted
on November 1st.
Sorrow was around 12 minutes !
From the announcement program till the end of SOYCD there was an
annoying technical interference. These are called "sparklies", in
the satellite-reception world, and indicator of poor uplink or
downlink video levels... usually on the downlink end.
Before ABITW2, on Mr. Screen there was clearly written "ENIGMA",
and something like "9.81N" and then some math tables.
According to an official inside, the show will be broadcast on MTV
in the UK sometime in the future, and a video will be released.
At the very end of the initial guitar part of SOYCD, before the 4
note 'Syds Theme' kicks in, DG cocked up. It sounded like he caught
a string as he was reaching down to adjust one of the controls on
his strat, or maybe he just hit the wrong note at the end. Anyway
it will be interesting to compare "live" video's of tonights
recording with the "official (doctored) version"
Annonces: After DSotM, Dave said "Thanks to Roger" once more.
